Good luck Devils!! #hornsup Some notes for the game at Van-Far: (1) For Game entry all traffic will come down the gravel road that is located beside the High School. (2) No fan will be allowed to enter the facility until after 11:30 am. From Van-Far’s AD on their school site: To meet site specifications per MSHSAA we had to make a few changes. Audrain Rd 557 will be closed at Hwy P (at the Elementary School). The High School parking lot main entrance will also be blocked off to traffic. All traffic will be diverted to Audrian Rd 557 from Hwy 54. Once on Audrain Rd 557 please follow signs for admission gate and directions for parking. Admission to the game will be $6 for all ages 6+. No passes will be accepted per MSHSAA.

The deadline to sign up is November 3, TOMORROW and the cost is $68 per test. With the BOGO sale, first time test takers only pay $68 for 2 tests. If you have any questions or need help registering, stop by and see Mrs. Shy before 6th hour Friday. If $$ is an issue please let me know you may qualify for a fee waiver to get a free test. During Parent/Teacher Conference night Thursday, October 26th, there will be a Financial Aid representative from SEMO who will present information about college finances. This event is open to 9-12th grade students and their parents. It will start at 5:30 pm in the Activity Center and last approximately 60 minutes.
CHS SOFTBALL SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER, STATE SEND OFF, AND GAME DAY! Our Lady Devils Softball team is in the Final 4 and headed to the State Softball Tournament! Please support our Lady Devils this week by going to the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 25, at the Elementary School Gym from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Spaghetti, breadsticks, salad, and dessert for $10. On Thursday, October 26, is the Lady Devils Sendoff at the High School parking lot from 8:40-9:00 a.m. Come cheer on our girls as they load the bus and take off on their journey to a State Championship! OCTOBER 23-27 IS RED RIBBON WEEK AT CES! October is a month that promotes drug awareness and staying safe, and Red Ribbon Week at CES is October 23-27. OCTOBER 23--Rest easy with a Drug Free mind! Students can wear pajamas on this day. Please decorate the picture that was sent home with your child and return to school by Thursday, October 25. As you color your family picture, please remind your children of the importance of staying safe, keeping their bodies healthy, and always saying “NO” to drugs! OCTOBER 24--A Drug Free mind creates a successful future! Dress in a future career of your choice. OCTOBER 25--You can tackle any goals you set with a Drug Free mind! Wear a jersey or sports team gear! The class that has the highest percentage of students dress up for the week will be rewarded with an afternoon popcorn/movie day. OCTOBER 26-27--NO SCHOOL!! Enjoy your days off and don’t get wrapped up in drugs! Remember that drugs are harmful to your mind and body.

DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP SOFTBALL T-SHIRT ORDERS WILL BE PLACED ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17! For those who would like to order District Championship Softball T-Shirts, the shirts will be ordered today (Tuesday, October 17). The cost will be $20 a shirt. The shirts will be a black cotton t-shirt with the softball roster on the back of the shirt, and the design to be determined. Orders need to be made to Coach Aaron Horrell (email at aaron.horrell@chaffeer2.org or order on the Chaffee Red Devil Athletics Facebook page) by 2:00 pm TODAY (10/17/23). That is our deadline to turn sizes in, and no late orders can be made. Payment can be made by cash or check to Chaffee High School when you pick up on Friday/Saturday.

PEP BUS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13 -- The Lady Devils Softball team plays in the District Semifinals Game at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 13, at Kelly High School. We will be taking a Pep Bus for Jr/Sr High School students that will leave at 2:15 p.m. There will be Permission Forms outside the office for students to pick up, fill out, have signed, and return. Every student who plans on riding the Pep Bus must have a Permission Form. To attend the game and ride the Pep Bus, you must do the following: (1) Prepay your $6 gate admission fee to the office with your name on it (exact amount only). (2) Turn your Permission Form in before Friday or on Friday as you are getting on the bus. (3) Bring your own money for concession purposes. AND, just like any athletic event you must ride the bus home OR have a PARENT sign you out at the game to excuse you from the bus.
