National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day is April 28, 2026. This is a day when we celebrate Chaffee’s amazing bus drivers and transportation staff! CONGRATULATIONS CHAFFEE INDUSTRIAL ARTS STUDENTS!
Congratulations to our Chaffee Industrial Arts students on a fantastic day at the Technology Education Association of Missouri (TEAM) Southeast District Industrial Arts contest at the S Bar F Scout Ranch near Farmington. The CIA students earned all 1st place ratings, 35 State Qualifiers, 6 of the 9 Best in Division, and Best of Show. The State Contest will be April 30-May 2 at the Lake of the Ozarks.

TRACK MEET AT SAXONY CANCELLED ON APRIL 28
The Track Meet at Saxony Lutheran on Tuesday, April 28th, has been cancelled and will not be made up.
Track practice will be at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

BASEBALL GAME VS ORAN POSTPONED (4/27/26)
The Oran Baseball game for today (4/27/26) has been postponed due to incoming weather.
All after school activities and practices have been cancelled for today (4/27/26) as well.

REMINDER – CES 2026 Missouri Grade-Level Assessments (MAP Testing) on April 27 - May 1, 2026
CES Map Testing (for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Grades) will take place on April 27-May 1.
3rd grade -- English Language Arts and Math
4th grade -- English Language Arts and Math
5th grade -- English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science
6th grade -- English Language Arts and Mathematics
A few reminders for MAP testing:
(1) Be at school EVERY day and arrive to school on time.
(2) Get a good night’s sleep.
(3) Eat breakfast.
(4) Try to schedule all outside appointments around testing times.
* Parents -- Please make sure you read the Parent Letter that Mrs. Shy, CES Counselor, sent home regarding MAP testing. If you have any questions about the MAP assessments, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Shy at the Elementary Office.

CONGRATULATIONS CHAFFEE JUNIOR HIGH TRACK ON A GREAT SEASON!
The Junior High Red Devils track team wrapped up their season on April 21st at the Chaffee JH Red Devil Invitational. It was a great day for Chaffee Junior High with many medals and PRs in events.
Girls - Finished 3rd out of 13 teams.
Kara Corder - PR and 1st in the 200.
Addison Lincoln - PR and 1st in the 400 and 1st in the Long Jump.
Jordan Jones - PR and 1st in the 800.
Addison Lincoln, Ella Davis, Lilly Davidson, Jordan Jones - PRs in the 4x200 (2nd) and 4x400 (1st).

Ty Atkins participated in the 1st annual Kansas City Relays on Saturday, April 18, at Blue Springs South High School. He placed 5th with a throw of 51.96m (170' 55") in a packed field with athletes from Missouri and bordering states. Great job Ty!
