TUESDAY, JANUARY 28: HS Boys Basketball at Leopold at 6:00 pm. THURSDAY, JANUARY 30: HS Girls Basketball – Scott Mississippi Conference Tournament at Oak Ridge – Lady Devils vs TBD at Time TBD // HS Boys Basketball vs Meadow Heights (Home) at 5:00 pm. **This past week the Meadow Heights Class of 2025 lost another classmate in a tragic accident. We want to show our support and help them out in this time of need. We will have a 50/50 raffle and also have donation buckets set up at the gate and concession stand on Thursday night.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Girls Basketball Game scheduled for tonight (1/23) has been cancelled.
HS GIRLS’ BASKETBALL GAME (VARSITY ONLY) ADDED TO SCHEDULE ON JANUARY 23 -- We picked up a girls’ basketball game this week, and the Lady Devils (Varsity Only) will play at Malden on Thursday, January 23, at 6:00 pm. The player bus will depart at 4:10 pm.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SENIOR BETA CLUB NATIONAL QUALIFIERS! Chaffee Senior Beta Club members competed at the Missouri State Beta Convention on January 16-18. Chaffee had four students on top of the preexisting four members who are National bound. Congratulations to the following members who placed at the State Convention and qualified for Nationals! -Eli Nix (Second Place 3D Design) -Zeke Wessel (Second Place Digitally Enhanced Photography) -Eve O'Neal (Fourth Place Performing Arts) -Addison Stratton (Fifth Place Fiber Arts). REMINDER FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22 -- On Wednesday, January 22nd, we challenge all Red Devil students to bring a $1.00 donation to support Bryson and his family and our friends at SCC after his accident on January 13th. Please wear a hat or one of Bryson's favorite colors (red or orange) and donate $1.00. Let's all remember to follow safety precautions around school buses to protect our children. #BrysonStrong

NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION DAY -- January 9th is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Thank You to all of our law enforcement officers who keep our school and community safe! And, a very special Thank You to our Chaffee School District Resource Officer -- Officer Lyerla!
Chaffee R-2 will not be in session Friday, January 10, 2025 due to the forecasted snow storm coming in overnight. Hopefully, this will give families time to adjust their plans. Thank you and Stay Warm!

GIRLS BASKETBALL UPDATES AND REMINDERS -- Tonight’s (Tuesday, January 7) girls basketball game at Woodland has been postponed. When a make-up date is scheduled, it will be announced. Girls will practice today (1/7/25) after school in the AC gym until 5:15 pm. Girls will play at Oak Ridge tomorrow (Wednesday, January 8) at 6:00 pm. The bus departure is at 4:30 pm.
We are excited to welcome our students and staff back for the first day of classes in 2025 on Tuesday, January 7. Bus routes will run as usual.
Students, please bundle up in warm clothes before you head out the door to the bus stop or to walk to school.
