TAHER VIRTUAL FAMILY COOKING CLASS ON DECEMBER 11, 2024 – There will be a Virtual Family Cooking Class on Wednesday, December 11, from 5:30-6:15 pm. The class is sponsored by a collaboration between Taher and St. Catherine University. Parents, please join and cook along virtually and encourage your child to help. Please see the flyer below with the QR code to scan and sign up. Once you register, they will send you a Zoom link and the ingredients and grocery list you will need. You will be able to cook a delicious and satisfying family-friendly meal in 45 minutes; learn about the nutritional value of the meal; find out tips and tricks to create other quick dinner meals for your family; and discover ways to meet your family’s nutritional needs. This is an exciting free opportunity for our families and children in the community, and we hope you will participate.

BLOOD DRIVE ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, AT CHAFFEE HIGH SCHOOL -- FBLA and BETA Club will be hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 3, from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm, in the High School Activity Center. Students who would like to donate should schedule their appointment with Mr. Westrich. The community can call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment or just walk in if appointments are available. All units collected will help to save lives! Also, CHS is able to award scholarships to seniors based on the number of donations given. All donors are greatly appreciated!

THANKSGIVING BREAK (NOVEMBER 25-29) -- There will be no school for students and staff on November 25-29 for Thanksgiving Break. The Cape Career & Technology Center (CTC) WILL hold classes Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th, and transportation will be available for morning and afternoon students to attend. CTC will NOT be holding classes Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th.
