NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK (MARCH 3-7, 2025) -- National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This special observance during the first week of March celebrates the National School Breakfast Program and the many ways it gives students a great start every day. We are grateful for our cafeteria staff in each of our buildings who work tirelessly to prepare delicious meals for our students each day! We appreciate all that they do to keep our students fueled and ready to learn.

CONGRATULATIONS TY ATKINS SEMOBALL AWARDS FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER FINALIST -- Congratulations to Ty Atkins for being named as a finalist for the 2025 Semoball Awards for Football Defensive Player. The finalists were decided by the sports editors of the Southeast Missourian, Sikeston Standard-Democrat, Delta Dunklin Democrat in Kennett, and the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff. The Semoball Awards will take place at the La Croix Church on July 18, 2025. Congratulations and Good Luck Ty!

SCIENCE FAIR SHOWCASE ON SUNDAY, MARCH 2 -- The 2nd annual Science Fair Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the CHS Activity Center. Students from all grade levels (7th through 12th) are encouraged to enter a project. The Science Fair Showcase is open to the public and refreshments are available for purchase.
GIRLS BASKETBALL DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON MARCH 1, 2025 -- Lady Devils picked up the win against Meadow Heights on Thursday night with a score of 61-27 and advance to the DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME on Saturday, March 1, at 1:30 pm and will play the St. Vincent Lady Indians. Good Luck Lady Devils!!
HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL PARENT MEETING ON FEBRUARY 27 – There will be a HS Baseball Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 27, in the high school library at 6:30 pm. Finalized schedules will be handed out, expectations will be reviewed, and the Pancake Fundraiser will be discussed.

BLOOD DRIVE ON FEBRUARY 26 -- FBLA and BETA will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, February 26, from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm in the High School Activity Center. Students who are interested in giving blood should sign up with Mr. Westrich. The community can call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment or walk in if appointments are available. All units collected will help to save lives and also help Chaffee High School students earn scholarships. All donors are greatly appreciated!

REMINDER – CHS ENROLLMENT CARDS AND CTC APPLICATIONS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 25 -- ALL enrollment cards and CTC applications are due on Tuesday, February 25th. Please use the 2025-2026 Red Devil Enrollment Handbook as a reference while completing your enrollment card and Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP).
